3 Worst Foundations!

I've recently posted my 3 favourite foundations, so its only fair I share the foundations in my collection that have disappointed me. This doesn't mean the foundations are horrible/crap, it just means they haven't ticked my boxes.

L'Oreal True Match Minerals
This was purchased after my skin turned into an oil slick, and a mineral foundation seemed the most obvious choice. But sadly my skin doesn't seem to like this foundation, I recently forgot this and it caused my skin to freak out and I had a pimple my fiancée named Giganton. Not good. The colour choice is awful, the lightest shade is ridiculously dark, ivory is more or less NW20/NW25, ridiculous. Its also the messiest foundation ever, I shall stop now before I say much more.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere
I know, a Chanel foundation, I must be mad. I'm not going to lie, I didn't even read a single review on this bad boy before I made the plunge, all it took to win me over was the sales woman popped it onto my jaw line and I bought it straight away. Silly, silly me. This foundation does everything I don't want, it oxidises on my skin within 10 minutes, it doesn't last very long at all and doesn't fade nicely, it goes patchy and looks like I have a skin infection on my combination skin. Horrid. So this shall sit on my dressing table and go no where near my skin.

No7 Beautifully Matte
This foundation is lovely on oily skins, but my skin hates this with a passion. This foundation didn't do much except drink all the moisture out of my skin and made it dry, flaky and red. This is probably my fault as my skin isn't overly oily, more normal to combination, so I can't blame this foundation. Although this foundation oxidises which is a massive pet hate of mine.

3 Best Foundations!

Hello Lovelies!

Apologies for being a tad MIA, but I'm back in action!

Lately I've been struggling to get my skin looking nice, no matter how nicely I treat it, all of the serums, moisterisers and oils aren't making my skin any happier, so I've been digging through my collection trying to find something that will hide the redness and angriness. These are the 3 that have been giving my the healthy glow that I've been lusting after.

Mac Face & Body
I bought this on a total whim, after hearing so many people rave about it I thought why not and made an order. And boy am I so glad I did! After 2 layers of Face and body, it achieves a medium coverage and my skin looks healthy, and it doesn't look cakey at all. I also think that because its water based makes it look light and dewy and it lasts all day, my idea of perfection!

Estee lauder Double Wear Light
This is my second bottle of this and that never happens, as I get bored of foundations and I'm constantly looking for something new, so repurchasing has got to mean something. This foundation doesn't get enough love for how good it is, it feels lovely and light on the skin, its very easy to blend and the colour match is great for my pale skin. WIN! My only complaint with this foundation is that there aren't many shades, especially deeper shades, which is something that annoys me about most cosmetic companies, hmph!

Mac Studio Sculp
I only have a sample of this at the moment, but I know I am definitely going to pick this up. This foundation is perfect for the bad skin days, it has a lovely thick medium coverage, that isn't quite full but isn't medium. What is even better is you need the tiniest bit to cover your whole face, this sample is going to last me forever!
